DIY: Homemade Potpourri with Essential Oils
Potpourri is an easy way to bring the essence of fall into your home. I love to have a bowl in the bathroom, near the sofa, near the computer desk, pretty much any space in the home.
I love to make my own potpourri because I know exactly what is in it, and I can use my favorite essential oils to scent it. I love knowing that we are breathing in non-toxic, healthy scents and not synthetic perfumes. I don’t know about you, but anything synthetic gives me a nasty headache.
It’s very easy to make your own potpourri. You don’t need any fancy ingredients, and most likely probably already have what you need in your kitchen spice cabinet. Simply gather some favorite spices and herbs, place them in a bowl, and add a few drops of essential oil for an amazing aroma.
Ingredient Recommendations for DIY Potpourri
Pick a few of these to use in your potpourri. You don’t need to have every single item in on the list.  Choose what you have on hand, or what appeals to you most. Or substitute something similar. Any natural item will work. And if you want to add the whole shebang to your potpourri, by all means go for it! Â
Click each ingredient if you need stock up on that item at Amazon. Keep in mind that you won’t be using the entire container so you’ll have the item(s) on hand for future baking goodies or a future batch of potpourri.
