What is a shower steamer?
A shower steamer is a little tablet that you throw in the bottom of your shower and it dissolves and releases essential oils and aromas when exposed to warm water and steam in the shower.
Supplies and Ingredients for Heart Shower Steamers
Before you get started, gather all your supplies and ingredients.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Nonstick Silicone Heart Molds: The flexible silicone heart molds with non-stick allows for easy and quick release of baked goodies and desserts.
Epsom Salt
Make sure you have unscented Epsom salts or that will affect the outcome of your steamers.
Another reason you don’t want scented is because you don’t want something with artificial scent in it. That’s bad because it’s usually synthetic and wreaks havoc on your hormones.
- PURE EPSOM SALT: Made with pharmacy-grade magnesium sulfate to help ease aches and soreness from muscle pains
Rosy Mica Powder
The mica powder is what will give your steamers the rose coloring. You can skip it if you prefer.
The one pictured below is the one I used for this recipe. You get lots of colors and can use them in other recipes like this DIY lavender rosemary soap.
