Supplies for your DIY Leave In Conditioner Hair Spray
Glass Spray Bottle
For this leave in conditioner, we’re going to put it in an 8 ounce spray bottle. And since we’ll be adding essential oils, you’ll want to make sure to use a glass spray bottle. There are a few types of plastic that are safe to use with essential oils, but in general, I stick to glass.
This recipe will make 8 ounces of spray so you’ll want to find an 8 ounce or larger spray bottle. You can, of course, choose to double the recipe and whip up a bigger batch and use a 16 oz spray bottle, or even two 8 ounce bottles.
I buy a 3 or 6 pack at a time so that I have extras for other projects.
- 6 – 8 oz, Amber glass bottles, with black trigger sprayers.
Anytime you are working with essential oils, you want to make sure to use glass because the oils can break down plastic.
You can also go with something really pretty and visually appealing like:
THIS glass spray bottle with bamboo and a silicone base:
- Versatile Use: Equipped with both stream and mist spray options, this refillable glass bottle can be used for a variety of cleaning tasks, plant care, or as a glass cleaner spray bottle. Perfect for household and gardening needs.
Mini Funnel
You will definitely want some mini funnels around. You’ll find these extremely useful any time you are making DIY projects with essential oils that use small roller bottles, spray bottles or droppers.
Stainless steel is your best option here. There are plastic funnels available, but if you have a choice, grab stainless steel funnels because they are more durable and can be thrown in the dishwasher.
- Stainless steel mini funnels are the perfect tool for filling up any small portable travel bottle with all of your necessities. Whether you’re traveling or putting together a gift bag or gift basket, these silver stainless steel funnels will help you fill up all your bottles with the essentials.

Hi Raquel – thanks for bringing that to my attention. I’ve fixed the problem and the recipe is back! I hope you love it!
Hi thanks for the recipe. I was thinking of making it but curious what purpose the vegetable glycerin serves? Thanks!
Hi Lauren,
That’s a great question. Vegetable Glycerin is super moisturizing and nourishing. It’s great for our hair and skin and is used in many skin care products. It also helps everything mix together. Be sure to use a good one that isn’t going to harm your skin. The one I link to is one I have used and liked. Let me know how you like the spray once you make it!
So many people are not aware that scalp therapy shampoos for fast hair growth (obviously with no sulfates, no parabens and no DEA) are a thing. Persons can now experience longer hair and attain more options. Undoubtedly worth searching.
When you’re going over alopecia, damaged hair, preventing scalp disorders, fast hair growth, hair care more often than not, the same principles become relevant.
Generally, you have to steer clear of hair treatments and products that include chemicals like parabens, DEA and sulfates.
What’s beneficial for your hair is good for your skin as well.
For obvious reasons the content on this page is so useful for many reasons. It stays away from the accustomed pitfalls and traps so many fall into- getting horrible alternatives. Greatly appreciated!
Thanks Lakia. I’m glad you found it useful. Those essential oils mentioned (Ylang Ylang and Rosemary) are both so good for hair growth and a perfect natural way to help with healthy hair growth without all the bad things you mentioned. Besides this leave in spray, they are also great added to natural shampoos.
