DIY Essential Oil Razor Bumps Serum – Relief for Razor Burn
Make your own Razor Burn Serum with essential oils to heal, and get rid of bumps after shaving your legs, bikini and pubic area, or underarms.
No one likes razor bumps that are frequently left behind after shaving, especially in the more sensitive spots of our bodies like our bikini area.
When you have razor burn, it can be painful and can be a bit embarrassing, especially if you’re planning on spending the day in shorts or a swimsuit. Razor Burn happens when the skin is irritated by the razor an can be caused by dry shaving, shaving with a dull or dirty blade, or when the hairs grow back into the skin (a.k.a. ingrown hair). You can prevent it from happening by using a shaving cream or gel, using a new, clean razor, and moisturizing after shaving.
If you are struggling with razor burn, you can provide some serious relief to your skin with this Razor Relief Serum made with all natural essential oils and Rosewater. Use it in the pubic area, legs, underarms
This is wonderful for men as well since they can have sensitive skin just like us, and get the same bumps on their face.
This is a super fast and easy Self-Care DIY project to make. I am listing my recommended oils, however keep in mind you can use whatever essential oils you have on hand if you don’t have all of these.
Supplies and Ingredients for your Homemade Razor Burn Relief Serum
Jojoba Oil or Coconut Oil
You’ll want to use a moisturizing carrier oil. I choose to use Jojoba Oil for this because it is closest to our skin’s natural oil. Fractionated Coconut Oil would also work. Fractionated coconut oil is a bit more processed than the kind of coconut oil you use in the kitchen for cooking and the benefit is that it always stays liquid.
This is my favorite Jojoba Oil that I buy regularly from Amazon
- Packaging May Vary – New look, same great product.
Rosewater
Rosewater is has anti-inflammatory properties that can help to reduce skin irritation & redness. It also is moisturizing and is beneficial in many skin treatments. I use it in my DIY Facial Serum recipe and it goes on my face 2x daily.
Be sure to use one that is organic, alcohol free and 100% natural like THIS ONE.
- USDA-Certified Organic Rose Water Spray for Face: Simplified Skin’s hydrating rosewater spray can be used across your beauty routine, offering soothing hydration and refreshing benefits for the face, body, and hair with every spritz.
Glass Spray Bottle
You’ll want to use a glass spray bottle. Anytime you are working with essential oils, you need to use glass. The reason is because essential oils and plastic don’t work well together. The oils work beautifully with biologic cells, however not so much with plastics and they will break the plastic down. Then you would be using a serum with plastic remnants on your skin which can be quite toxic.
I always order from my good friend Amazon and love these sprayers. This DIY calls for an 8 oz spray bottle. Grab yours here.
- VALUE SET OF 2: Receive two 8 oz brown glass bottles with 3-setting sprayers
Essential Oils for your Razor Burn Relief Serum
The essential oils used in this Razor Burn Serum help with inflammation, bacteria, and healing.
Here is the list of oils recommended. If you don’t have all of them, that’s ok. Use what you do have.
*** If you can only use 2 essential oils, pick Lavender and Melaleuca. They are both super beneficial to the skin and both come in all of the doTERRA starter kits.
