I havenโ€™t tried this yet because although it sounds interesting, you have a recipe with over 6 ounces of fluid and you indicate using a 4 oz bottle.

    1. The amount of distilled water you’ll use will not be exact. You’ll need less if adding vitamin E and / or Rose water. The water then is used to fill up the bottle the rest of the way. I’ve updated the recipe card so that it’s more clear.

    1. Hi Tanessa, great question! Any time you add water to a homemade product, there is a chance for microbial growth. However, the vitamin E and Essential Oils acts as a natural preservative. Without those, I recommend keeping it in the refrigerator and it will last around 1 – 2 weeks possible longer. With the Essential Oils and/or Vitamin E, it should last anywhere from 3 – 6 months stored out of direct sunlight in a cool, dry place. You could also use all rose water and skip the water and it should last several months. If you notice it changing texture, color or scent, discontinue using it and throw it out.
