It’s so important to take a moment to prioritize your well-being and this bath soak recipe is the perfect way to relax, unwind and get to healthier, glowing skin.
Skin Benefits of Oatmeal
Oatmeal offers many benefits to our skin. Some of which are:
- Soothes and calms irritated skin
- Helps to relieve dry and itchy skin
- Moisturizes and hydrates the skin
- Reduces inflammation and redness
- Acts as a gentle exfoliator
- Can help to alleviate symptoms of certain skin conditions like eczema and psoriasis
- Provides antioxidant benefits for the skin
- Promotes a healthy skin barrier
- Can assist in reducing acne and blemishes
- Offers a relaxing and pampering skincare experience
I recommend using organic oatmeal if possible, as most non-organic is loaded with pesticide residue.
Ingredients for your Oatmeal Bath Soak
Baking soda helps to soothe and cleanse the skin in an oatmeal bath soak recipe.
Epsom Salts contain magnesium which is an important mineral our body needs and can help calm and relax sore muscles, tension and stress.
Be sure to use an unscented Epsom salt, otherwise artificial fragrance has been added, which can be full of synthetic and potentially harmful ingredients.
I use this brand of unscented Epsom salts.
Essential Oils for your oatmeal bath soak
Lavender essential oil is very soothing and beneficial for skin. It’s also known for it’s calming properties, as is vetiver essential oil which makes this the perfect treat to unwind before bed after a long stressful day.
If you don’t have Lavender or Vetiver oil, or don’t care for them, you can switch them out for another essential oil such as Roman Chamomile, Frankincense or any other essential oil you like.
Just be sure you are using a pure essential oil and not a fragrance oil which is synthetic and can contain harmful ingredients.

Ingredients
- 1 c. organic oatmeal
- 1/4 c. sea salt
- 2 tbsp baking soda
- 1/2 c. epsom salt
- 7 drops lavender essential oil
- 3 drops vetiver essential oil

- Combine all ingredients

An oatmeal bath soak can provide a comforting and relaxing experience for your skin. It helps to nourish and moisturize, leaving your skin feeling smooth and rejuvenated.
The gentle properties of oatmeal can soothe and calm irritated skin, making it an excellent option for those with dry or sensitive skin. So why not indulge in a luxurious oatmeal bath soak and give your skin the pampering it deserves?
