Easy Kid Friendly Christmas Craft – No Bake Essential Oil Diffuser Ornament
DIY no cook essential oil diffuser ornaments are a fun and easy DIY Project that are a perfect Christmas craft to do with Kids and if you’re on a budget. These essential oil diffuser ornaments lets you create fragrant, personalized holiday decorations using essential oils and natural ingredients without any cooking required. They can double as a homemade gift tag as well!

Ingredients and Supplies You’ll Need To Make Your No Bake Diffuser Ornaments
You’ll need the following ingredients to make these no bake diffuser ornaments:
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- ½ cup salt
- ¾ cup + 2 tablespoons warm water
You’ll also fine the following helpful:
- Rolling Pin
- Cookie Cutters – any fun shapes you like. You could the top of a small glass or jar for round shapes if you don’t have cookie cutters
- Ribbon or hemp twine – any thing to hang the ornaments with.
Step by Step Directions To Make your no bake diffuser ornaments
The first step is to whisk the salt and flour together.
Then, mix in the warm water until the mixture looks crumbly.
Knead the mixture until it has a smooth texture. It should look something like this:
Roll out your dough and cut out shapes using cookie cutters just like you’re making cookies.
For round shapes, you can use a small mason jar or a glass.
Make sure to poke a hole for the ribbon:
Before they dry, you can add decorations by doing imprints with pine leaves, or etching in lines or even using cute stamps with different designs. I didn’t have any stamps available so don’t have an example to show you. I have done this in the past and they turn out great!
Let the ornaments air dry until hardened. This may take 1 – 2 days depending on the temperature in your home.
Once they are dry, you can thread ribbon or twine through the hole.
Add a few drops of your favorite holiday essential oil to the ornaments and hang on the tree or use on presents.

- Knead the mixture for around 8 to 10 minutes until smooth.
- Roll out your dough and cut out shapes using cookie cutters. For round ones, use a small mason jar or a glass.
- You can roll on some pine tree leaves and other Christmas decorations to make imprinted designs.
- Make sure to poke a hole for the ribbon.
- Let air dry.
- Add a ribbon through the hole you made.
- Add drops of essential oils and hang on the tree!
