Internal
Certain essential oils have a rich culinary history and can be used as dietary supplements for targeted wellness. Some oils, such as lemon, may be added to water. Â Oils may also be put in an empty capsule and swallowed. Â This only applies to Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils. ** Please do not take any other “pure” essential oil internally as this can be very toxic.
Topical
Essential oils can be safely applied for massage or topical benefit. Â Essential oils can be diluted with a carrier oil such as coconut, jojoba, grapeseed, or avocado oil. This allows the oil to remain on the body longer, and prevents skin irritation, especially in younger children or anyone with sensitive skin.
