This homemade Magnesium Lotion DIY recipe is great for for sore muscles. With a blend of shea butter and magnesium, it's lightly scented with optional lavender and eucalyptus essential oils to boost support for sore muscles, sleep, and stress. Give your sore muscles relief with this natural skincare remedy.
Boil the water in a small saucepan, then add the magnesium, and stir until completely dissolved,
Add the coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax to a microwave safe bowl, and heat for 30 second intervals, until fully melted. Stir well between each heat session.
Pour melted mixture and magnesium into a bowl (or stand mixer) and beat on high for 5 minutes.
Allow to rest for 10 minutes, then beat again for a minute. Add essential oils, and beat to combine.
Store in an airtight container.

Tip: Cool your lotion quickly by putting in the fridge or shallow bowl of ice water. This helps to avoid "grainy" lotion which happens when it cools slowly.
