DIY Powder Carpet Deodorizer and Cleaner Recipe
Looking for a new way to freshen up your carpets? This is a non toxic and safe homemade carpet powder deodorizer and refresher that is safe for pets and kids. Shake it up in a jar and sprinkle it onto the desired area. Let it sit for about an hour, then vacuum it up.
Amount Made :2 cups
Ingredients
- 2 cups baking soda
- 10 drops Essential Oil see notes
- 16 oz mason jar or 2 8 oz jars will work
- mason jar lids with holes
Instructions
- Add the baking soda to your mason jar
- add the Purify Essential Oil and stir into the baking soda until well combined
- sprinkle over carpet and let sit for 1.5 - 2 hours
- Vacuum
- Store remaining powder in an airtight container for a future use
Notes
Essential Oil Recommendations: Lemon, Tea Tree, Siberian Fir, would all be great choices. I love to use doTERRA Purify blend.
