Rose Infused Oil
- Carrier oil Jojoba, Argan, etc.
- Rose petals
Tallow Face Lotion
- ½ cup rendered tallow
- ¼ cup rose infused oil or plain carrier oil such as Jojoba
- 10-15 drops essential oils ex: Rose, Geranium
- 1 oz containers
Instructions
Rose Infused Oil (optional- can skip and use plain carrier oil with Rose essential oil)
- Add rose petals into a glass jar. Pour carrier oil to completely cover the petals. Let infuse for 4 to 6 weeks. Then strain.
Tallow Face Lotion
- Add the tallow and rose infused oil or plain carrier oil to a glass jar and slowly heat in a double boiler over simmering water until melted. You can also do this in the microwave.
- Once melted, add in the essential oils.
- Pour into containers and let harden.
Notes
- This makes around 5 ounces.
- Any carrier oil will work. I used Jojoba Oil since it is closest to our skin's natural oil.
- You can use the Rose infused oil and essential oils, or just one or the other.
- You can skip the Rose Infused Oil and essential oils for a plain tallow balm.
- Rose essential oil is expensive. To make this more budget friendly, geranium is a great substitute.
