Rose Lotion Bars DIY Recipe
Rose lotion bars are a simple yet indulgent way to pamper your skin. This DIY recipe is easy to make. The rose lotion bars smell amazing, and leave your skin feeling soft and hydrated. Whether you’re making the DIY rose lotion bars for yourself or as gifts, they’re a fun and practical addition to any natural skincare routine.
Equipment
- small double boiler or microwave safe glass jar/bowl
Ingredients
Rose Infused Oil (optional - can use plain carrier oil instead)
- Rose petals
- Carrier oil ex: Jojoba Oil, Avocado Oil
Lotion Bars
- ¼ cup rose infused oil or plain carrier oil
- ¼ cup shea butter
- ¼ cup beeswax
- ½ teaspoon pink kaolin clay optional: adds pink color
- 10 drops essential oil optional. Ex: Rose Essential Oil
Instructions
Rose Infused Oil (optional - can use plain carrier oil instead)
- Add rose petals to a glass jar. Pour carrier oil on top to completely cover the rose petals. Leave for 6 weeks, shaking often. Then strain.
Lotion Bars
- Melt beeswax, infused oil, and shea butter. Stir until completely melted.
- Wait to cool a bit before adding in your essential oils.
- Then add in the pink clay. Stir thoroughly until combined.
- Pour into your molds. Leave overnight or until hard.
Notes
- Essential oils are optional.
- The pink clay is optional, but it helps give it a more pink color.
- Any carrier oil will work for the infusion. I used avocado oil.
- This makes around 6 lotion bars, if using the same mold.
