Create your own homemade sea moss soap with this easy DIY skincare recipe made with sea moss gel and glycerin melt and pour soap base! Add the sea moss to a bowl of filtered water. Make sure it is completely covered. Let sit for 48 hours. It will expand and get soft.
Drain the sea moss and add it to a blender with more filtered water. Blend until it is nice and smooth.
Cut up the melt and pour soap base into small squares.
Melt in the microwave on low heat for 30 seconds at a time. Stir in between until it is completely melted.
Wait until it has cooled down a bit and add in 2 to 3 tablespoons of sea moss gel. Mix thoroughly.
If you want to add in some mica powder, add a teaspoon at a time until you get the desired color.
Then, pour into your mold. Wait a few hours or overnight until it is hard. Take out of your mold and enjoy!
Notes
You can add essential oils if you want for extra scent and benefits. Frankincense would be a wonderful additionThe gold mica powder is optional. I added about a teaspoon to make the orange color similar to sea moss.You will want a high power blender to help you grind up the sea moss, otherwise it might be grainy.
