DIY Shampoo Bar Soap Recipe with melt and pour soap base
Easy DIY Shampoo Bar recipe made with goat's milk melt and pour soap base and free from harsh lye. Add essential oils like Rosemary for hair growth & dandruff control.
Equipment
- small double boiler or microwave safe glass jar
- Oval Massage Soap Mold any shape soap mold will work
Ingredients
- 1 lb goat milk’s melt and pour soap base
- 1 tablespoon cocoa butter
- 2 tablespoons calendula infused oil, or plain carrier oil ex: Jojoba, Argan, etc.
- 20-25 drops essential oil optional. Ex: Rosemary for hair growth
Instructions
- Cut up the melt and pour soap base into small squares. Add in the cocoa butter and melt slowly in the microwave or in the double boiler over simmering water until it is fully melted. Stir thoroughly.
- Once completely melted, add in the carrier oil / infused oil and stir again.
- Next, add in the essential oils.
- Then, pour into your mold. Wait a few hours or overnight until it is hard. Take out of your mold and enjoy!
Notes
- You can use any carrier oil you prefer.
- Essential oils are optional. Rosemary, lavender, and tea tree oil are all great for hair care.
