Lavender Simple Syrup Recipe
This Lavender Simple Syrup is so delicious and can be added to tea, coffee (Lavender Latte, anyone?), cocktails like martinis, lemonade, iced tea, and even pancakes!
You can make this ahead of time and let it chill in the refrigerator to have ready to use when you need it.

Supplies for your Lavender Simple Syrup
First, you’re going to need a container to store your Lavender Simple Syrup in. No plastic container for this. With the addition of the Lavender essential oil, you’ll want to make sure to store your Lavender Simple Syrup in a glass container. The essential oil can break down plastic over time, and that wouldn’t be healthy to consume. I love these Blue Glass Mason Jars for this!
A couple Large Mason Jars would work perfectly to store your Lavender Syrup.
But, at the same time, I want to assure you that it is safe to consume doTERRA’s Lavender Essential Oil. You may be thinking, if it breaks down plastic, what is it doing to my body? Well, essential oil works on biological cells (the cells in our body) differently than it non-biological cells (plastics and other non living materials). Keep in mind this is plant-based. Our bodies LOVE plants and they are very healthy for us.
I love these syrup storage jars that I found on Amazon!  You can snag them on Amazon and get free Prime Shipping.

Be Sure to Use Lavender Essential Oil that is Safe to Consume
It’s imperative that you are using an essential oil that is safe to consume. Please note that most so called “essential oils” from the drugstore and Amazon are fragrance oils, which can be quite toxic if consumed.
And use caution when purchasing essential oils from Amazon. Many sellers add fillers of unknown origin and it’s a bit scary because you don’t truly know what you are getting.
The only essential oil I consider safe to consume is doTERRA. And the only way to ensure you are getting the real thing is to you order your doTERRA directly from a wellness advocate who has a certified doTERRA website. Never on Amazon – doTERRA doesn’t authorize their products to be sold there.
How to tell if an essential oil is safe to consume? doTERRA’s oils will have a supplement facts chart on their bottle. If a doTERRA oildoesn’t have that chart, it’s not an oil to consume. Not all of doTERRA’s are consumable.
I ONLY trust doTERRA’s essential oils to consume. If you are planning on using any other brand, please
Be sure the essential oil you are using is not a fragrance only oil and is safe to consume.
Fragrance oils can be quite toxic if consumed. Be informed and choose safe and healthy essential oils.
