These DIY bronzing lotion sticks will give you a head start on your summer tan or can help you get a springtime glow during winter.
The lotion sticks provide extreme moisture for dry skin and when you add essential oils like Frankincense, you are giving your skin some extra TLC.
Frankincense essential oil can treat dry skin and reduce the appearance of wrinkles, age spots, scars, and stretch marks. It also packs in some serious cellular benefits.
If you choose to add the optional bronzing element, your skin will get a beautiful sun-kissed glow without the damaging rays of the sun.
These lotion sticks melt with the heat of your skin and are mess-free when stored in this convenient roll up container.

Supplies and Ingredients You’ll need to make DIY Bronzing Lotions Sticks
If you have ever made any homeade lotions, balms, or other DIY Beauty projects, then you may already have these ingredients on hand. If you haven’t ever made any DIY Beauty products before, these are common ingredients that are used and you’ll find that you can use them for many different projects.
So, it’s important to remember that when you invest in one of these products, keep in mind that they aren’t just one time use ingredients. Sometimes it may feel like it’s really expensive when you invest in all of these at once, but you are only going to use a small amount and will be able to get many uses and many projects out of these.
It’s like buying a big bag of flour – you’re not going to make only one batch of cookies with it.
Here’s a few related DIY Essential Oil Beauty Products you may like that use some of these same ingredients:

How to Make your DIY Lotion Sticks
Here’s step by step directions and photos. Â
After you have all your ingredients ready to go and measured out, add the beeswax, shea butter, cocoa butter, grapeseed oil, and vitamin E to glass jar (I use a pyrex measuring cup, or you can use a small jelly mason jar), and place in saucepan with one to one and a half inches of boiling water.
Stir all the ingredients with a Popsicle stick until they are all melted and incorporated together. I like to use a Popsicle stick so that i can toss it later but if you don’t have one, that’s totally ok. Use whatever you have on hand. You can wipe it off when you’re done .
Once your ingredients have all melted together, pull your glass jar out of the pot and let it cool on the counter for about three minutes.
After the ingredients have slightly cooled, but not hardened, add your essential oils.I’ve added Citrus Bliss here for it’s fabulous smell.
