The Chakra System is consists of 7 main chakras, or energy sources in our body. Each chakra represents a different part of our body and emotional well being. When these chakras are balanced, we reach a place of emotional balance between spirit, body, earth and health, universality and grounding.
However, when any one of our chakras are out of balance, we can suffer many negative emotional and physical effects. Chakra imbalances can lead to feeling disconnected from a sense of purpose or meaning, difficulty accessing intuition, and limited spiritual growth.
The Crown Chakra is also known as Sahasrara, which is the Sanskrit word for the 7th chakra, and means means ‘thousand-petaled.’
Physical Symptoms You May Experience When Your Crown Chakra is not balanced.
The Crown Chakra is located at the top of the head and is known as the seventh Chakra. This energy center is our source of enlightenment and spiritual connection. If you are feeling spiritually disconnected, confused, or unusually sensitive, it may be blocked.
It is primarily connected to the pituitary gland and also with the hypothalamus which work together to regulate the endocrine system. When the Crown Chakra is out of balance, we can experience any of the following health related symptoms:
- Anxiety
- Addiction
- Lower Back issues
- Digestive Issues
Essential Oils to Balance Your Crown Chakra
There are many ways we can balance our chakras. Some of these include foods, meditation, affirmations, yoga, stones, and/or crystals.
Essential Oils are another tool that can be utilized alone or in conjunction with these other methods. Each chakra is supported by specific essential oils.
The use of essential oils is one of my personal favorite ways to help rid negative emotions and connect with my highest self.
The essential oils I love to use in this Crown Chakra Blend are:
- Ginger
- Frankincense
- Ylang Ylang
- Roman Chamomile

Crystal Rollers to use with your Chakra Balancing Essential Oil Blends
To get the best benefit of this Chakra essential oil blend, I recommend picking up a pack of these gorgeous Chakra roller bottles with Gemstone rollerballs and crystals inside the bottle.
Each roller has a crystal specifically matched to it’s corresponding Chakra.
- Roller ball materials include Green Aventurine, Black Obsidian, Tiger Eye, Clear Crystal, Red Jasper, Fluorite, Sodalite, Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Lapis Lazuli.
Crown Chakra Essential Oil Roller Blend
A roller is a convenient way to bring the oils with you wherever you may be. For example, throw one in your purse for use at work, school, running errands, etc.
The roller can be applied to pulse points like the wrists, inner elbows, under ears. The base of the skull, at the back of the neck, right at the hairline is one of my favorite places to apply essential oils.
- 6 drops Ginger
- 6 drops Roman Chamomile
- 6 drops Frankincense
- 3 drops Ylang Ylang
Directions: Add the drops of essential oils to your empty roller bottle, then top off the roller bottle with your favorite carrier oil such as Jojoba Oil or fractionated coconut oil. This is the Jojoba Oil that I like to use.
To use the roller, apply it to pulse points like your wrists, behind the ears, base of the neck, down your spine. I recommend doing a patch test in a small place first to make sure you don’t have any skin sensitivities to the chakra oils.
You can read this article for more detailed directions on making an essential oil roller.
